iQOO 8 to feature whopping 160W fast charging technology
Just a few weeks ago, Infinix showcased their concept smartphone with 160W fast charging technology. And now some rumours started hovering online via MyDrivers that the upcoming iQOO 8, which will be the next generation of flagship smartphones will use the same 160W charging technology. The battery can go from 0% to 100% in just 12 minutes. From 18W to 33W to 120W, the charging technology for smartphones is increasing rapidly, one doesn’t have to wait hours to charge its smartphone. Many smartphones are teased by companies like Inifnix, Oppo, and Xiaomi which fuels up its battery in just a few mins.
Some rumours have started hovering online that the iQOO might launch its upcoming iQOO 8 flagship smartphone which will be the successor to the iQOO 7. The launch is expected to first happen in China, and later on, we might see iQOO 8 in different countries including India. It is also rumoured that iQOO 8 will be the first smartphone to feature the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset. Previously, we had some rumours regarding the upcoming Honor flagship smartphone. Let’s see what happens.
The company officials have already started teasing its upcoming iQOO device on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo. IQOO President Feng Yufei has hinted at iQOO’s upcoming smartphone. Some reports also tell that the Vivo will host an event on the 4th of August and in the same launch we might see the upcoming iQOO 8 debuted officially. Not only iQOO 8 but the whole iQOO 8 series is expected to debut on the same date.
Well, as of now there is no information on the specifications of the devices yet. The exact launch date hasn’t been revealed by the company. As for the specifications, the device is expected to offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset coupled with 12GB of physical RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM. It will use a 3200x1440P resolution + high refresh rate screen with centred single-hole. The key features of this chipset include a powerful Adreno 660 GPU and Snapdragon X60 5G modem for better connectivity. Moreover, the upcoming iQOO 8 will be a performance and battery leader with its whopping 160W fast charging technology. It might be the first device to offer 160W fast charging technology commercially.
