Jio Phone Next Launched In India: Everything You Need to Know

Mr Mukesh Ambani on Reliance AGM 2020 announced that they’re working with Google INC to make an affordable smartphone for Indians and to make the India 2G Mukt! And after a year later, Reliance on AGM 2021 has finally unveiled the upcoming affordable smartphone namely Jio Phone Next in the country. This has come as a result of the partnership between Reliance Jio and Google. What is Jio Phone Next?

Jio Phone Next is the most affordable 4G smartphone from Reliance Jio and Google. The handset is expected to bring some changes in the 4G revolution. As a result of the partnership, the Jio Phone Next runs on a lighter and optimized version of Android. They further claim that Google has separately developed and polished the Android for Jio Phone Next.

As for the specifications and pricing, we don’t have a single word about it. But we expect the pricing to be on the lower side and they’re claiming this to be the most affordable smartphone. The Jio Phone Next will go up on sale in India starting 10th September (which is an auspicious day of the Indian festival Ganesh Chaturthi).

We have to look at the device out now, from the front it has big huge bezels and a possible 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a single rear camera with an LED FLash at back. There’s a Jio logo and backfiring speakers on the back. Power buttons and volume controllers of the device will in the right-hand side. Overall, the device is built using polycarbonate and looks handy.

Talking about the hardware and software side of things, the upcoming Jio Phone Next will likely feature the Qualcomm 215 snapdragon chipset and will run on Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. We have seen the same processor on Nokia 1.4 too currently. The display packs a 1440×720 pixels resolution based on the boot animation. It will not offer more than 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 13MP (OV13B10)OmniVision Camera with AR Filters, HDR, and Night Mode and an 8MP front selfie shooter.

Well, some of the interesting software features are an in-built voice assistant, automatically read-aloud of screen text, local language translation support, a smart camera with Augmented reality filters, and more. It could be available in the Blue and Black colour option.

Jio Phone Next Booking and Registration

Jio Phone Next online booking could start via the official website The register/ pre-order facility for Jio Phone Next will likely be available on the MyJio app. There might be limited stocks initially, so the phones could be sold on a first come first serve basis if the demand is high.

Launch Date: Jio Phone Next has been launched in India on June 24 at the Reliance Industries Limited AGM 2021.

Sale Date: Jio Phone Next will be available in India from September 10, 2021, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
