LG X5 (2018) Launched with Massive 4500 mAh Battery: Price, Specifications
South Korean manufacturer LG announced the LG X5 (2018) smartphone in their home country today. It is the latest version of the previous LG X5, launched in 2016. The body is a touch electrostatic type with big bezels on the top and bottom. There is a circular fingerprint sensor at the rear. The volume rocker is placed on the left while the power button is placed on the right side.
As for the specifications, it features a 5.5-inch LCD with a resolution of HD (1280 x 720 pixels). Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT 6750 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz. It has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded with a microSD card.
It measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 171 g.In the optics department, the LG X5 (2018) sports a 5 MP selfie sensor with an LED flash at the front while offering a 13 MP sensor at the rear placed in the center with an LED flash. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a massive 4,500 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band), and NFC. It also supports LG Pay, the company’s mobile payment service. Additionally, it corresponds to LTE UE Category 4, which claims download speeds up to 150 Mbps, and HD DMB, the terrestrial digital broadcasting band in Korea.
The LG X5 (2018) is available in only one color option, Moroccan Blue, and comes at a price tag of 3,63,000 KRW. It will be sold through Korean mobile operator (MNO) SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+. The company has yet to give an official word about the global launch of the smartphone.
