What is 5G?

5G network is the faster and more reliable communication with low latency compared to the 4G network. The earlier generation of networks has made their way through voice calling, texting, basic web browsing, high-speed internet access, and ultra-high-speed internet connectivity with improved reliability and low latency. As we moved from 2G to 4G, a bunch of new features were added. Lastly, we had access to high-speed internet on the go with the 4G network. But what this upcoming 5G network will be like, no one knows for sure. Low latency and ten times faster internet speed are known for sure, but what more can be incorporated is still a mystery to solve.

Advantages of having a 5G phone

  • High-speed download and upload speeds over the internet.
  • Uninterrupted video or audio streaming.
  • Uninterrupted online gameplay.
  • High-quality video and audio calling.
  • Any 4G SIM is compatible with this device too.
  • Lossless internet access with stable network configuration.

When will 5G phones be launched in India?

5G mobile phones are expected to be launched in India by 2022. There is not a single operator in India offering any 5G connectivity or plans to its customers. So it is safe to say that the progress from 4G to 5G for India will be slow-paced compared to other countries like South Korea or the United States, where there are active 5G connections. India, on the other hand, is slow to join the party, and even though a few 5G phones are coming to the market soon, until Indian telecom operators start providing 5G network, they are of no use at all.

Conclusion

We can’t expect 5G phones under 10000 Indian rupees. However, if you are looking for a 5G phone under 40000 rupees, then Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi Mix 3 5G and Vivo iQOO Pro 5G are available. Qualcomm has launched mid-range Snapdragon 700 series SoCs that support 5G connectivity. With these chipsets, smartphone manufacturer companies such as Redmi, Realme, Oppo, and Vivo are working to bring mid-range phones with 5G connectivity. However, we will see Snapdragon 765 G-powered mid-range 5G phones in India later this year.
