Nothing Phone 1 Supported 5G Bands in India

The Nothing Phone 1 was launched in July and is one of the most hyped smartphones. The Glyph LEDs and their attractive design made people so excited. Back to the present, several people own the Nothing Phone 1. The Nothing Phone 1 is a 5G smartphone supported by the Snapdragon 778 5G chipset.

Since we know the 5G bands that will be operated in India, we can easily make a buying decision for a 5G smartphone. If you own or plan to own the Nothing Phone 1, you might wonder if the Nothing Phone 1 supports all the 5G bands in India or not. This article will discuss the Nothing Phone 1 supported 5G bands for the Indian market.

Nothing Phone 1 5G Bands

The Nothing Phone 1 supports a wide range of 5G bands, including n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, and n78. This includes all the 5G bands supported in India except the 26 GHz n258 band. It supports all sub-6 GHz 5G bands that were auctioned in India.

The n28 (700 MHz), n5 (800 MHz), and n8 (900 MHz) are low-bands supported by the Nothing Phone 1. These will provide a minor speed bump over 4G. Jio is mainly focusing on these bands. While the n3, n1, n41, n78, and n77 bands are mid-bands with frequencies ranging from 1800 MHz to 4200 MHz. Jio, Airtel, and Vi acquire all these bands. We should see the mid-bands in tier-1 and tier-2 cities of India.

As for the n258 or the 26 GHz mmWave 5G band, telecom operators will likely reserve it for commercial use. Therefore, the fact that the Nothing Phone 1 does not have the n258 band should not make any difference unless you’re someone who needs mmWave 5G for commercial use.

Nothing Phone 1 will support 5G bands from all major Indian telecom operators, including Jio 5G, Airtel 5G, and Vi 5G, to make things easier. So if you own a Nothing Phone 1, 5G bands support should be the least of your worries.
