Origin OS 2.0: Supported Phones, Release Date, Features
Chinese tech giant Vivo has announced its Origin OS, a new operating system made for Vivo and iQOO devices replacing their own Funtouch OS in October 2020. However, the company later said that Origin OS will remain exclusive to China, while some recent reports suggest that the company is planning to announce the Origin OS globally. Well, going back to the point, the company has started working on the successor of Origin OS namely Origin OS 2.0. The new Origin OS 2.0 is expected to pack a bunch of new features. Origin OS 2.0: Vivo’s Android-Based Custom Skin
Update: Vivo released OriginOS 2.0 Ocean to smartphones on December 30.
A new report by Chinese network informers suggests that Vivo has completed working on their new Origin OS 2.0 user interface and might launch it soon. We could expect the official launch to happen within a few weeks. Furthermore, the Origin OS 2.0 is expected to launch in November 2021.
It is also further said many elements and visuals will be inspired from the iOS, which ain’t the bad thing if they are implementing it in a good way. Origin OS 2.0 will further bring newly added animations, visuals, all-new smooth and fluid UI, and a new design system.
The first device to boot up on Origin OS 2.0 is said to be the upcoming iQOO Neo 6 and it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or 888+ chipset. The company will start rolling out the new UI via an OTA update to older Vivo and iQOO devices by December 2021. It might be based on Android 12. So we can expect the material you theme to be there. The supported Origin OS 2.0 devices list will likely include Vivo X60 Series and Vivo X70 Series.
