Redmi Note 8T with NFC & 18W Fast Charging Support Confirmed Through NCC Certification
After the launch of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi seems to be prepping the launch of another phone under the series. Today, a new Redmi device with model M1908C3XG has been spotted on Taiwan’s NCC certification website. Last month, the same model number was spotted on the EEC certification website.
The Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro come with model M1908C3JE and M1908C3IC, respectively, so obviously, the unreleased model M1908C3XG will belong to the Note 8 lineup. The marketing name of the M1908C3XG has been confirmed as Redmi Note 8T through the leaked retail package contents.
The NCC certification confirms that the Note 8T will support NFC. The listing also reveals the charger model number as MDY-10-ED, which supports 5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, and 12V / 1.5A output.
The specs sheet of the Redmi Note 8T has also surfaced online, which shows that the only difference between Note 8 and Note 8T is the NFC support. As we all know, NFC isn’t present on Note 8 but leaked images confirm that the Note 8T will arrive with multifunctional NFC support.
As per the information sticker (attached with the phone), the other specs will be similar to the Redmi Note 8, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, a 48MP quad rear camera setup, a 6.3-inch display (dew-drop notch), Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides, a 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W charger and a USB Type-C port.
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claimed that the Redmi Note 8T will be available in three memory configurations – 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB, and 4GB+128GB. Also, the phone will come with three color variants – Moonshadow Grey, Moonlight White, and Starscape Blue. As for the pricing, the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant is said to be priced at EUR 199.
Xiaomi has not announced anything about the launch timeline. As the phone has received certifications from multiple platforms and leaks flooding the web, we expect the Redmi Note 8T will be launched very soon.
