Snapdragon 860, 870, 888 Processor Antutu & Geekbench Benchmark Scores
Qualcomm launched two new revamped processors, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 was launched together with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. But the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 was launched a few days ago when the Poco X3 Pro was officially unveiled. It was the first device to house this new Qualcomm Snapdragon 860. But is the Snapdragon 860 really new? Not exactly. Sure it’s a new model and it has a new name, but in reality, it is just a revamped version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, which was the flagship processor from Qualcomm in 2019.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 has the same octa-core setup as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with the same 1+3+4 architecture. We have one Cortex-A76 (Kryo 485 Gold) core clocked at 2.96 GHz, three Cortex-A76 (Kryo 485 Gold) cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 (Kryo 485 Silver) cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The Qualcomm Snapdragon has the same setup as this, just the prime core in the Snapdragon is set at 2.84 GHz(not 2.96). Compared to the Snapdragon 855, the Snapdragon 860 also offers support for higher RAM storage(16GB). Additionally, we also get some camera features such as ultra-wide lens night mode, selfie night mode, and dual video. Besides these small changes, there is nothing new with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860.
But how does this Snapdragon 860 fair against the other 800 series processors from Qualcomm? A video was posted on youtube by the Youtuber “Golden Reviewer” who tested the popular 800 series Qualcomm processors launched in the last three years in Geekbench and Antutu to give users a better perspective about what they can expect from the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, 870 and 888.
