Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Chrome Gold Colour Variant Spotted Online
Japanese smartphone manufacturer Sony launched the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium in April. The device will be launched as a summer model in August in Japan, and according to a new report, it will be available in more color options. Earlier, the model was available only in Chrome Black and Chrome Silver options.
A new image showing a golden color variant of the Xperia XZ2 Premium has surfaced online, likely to be the Chrome Gold. The device is undoubtedly premium in this new color option, but there is no way to confirm whether the image is genuine. So we would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt. However, after the release of its predecessor, Xperia XZ Premium, a new color option, Red, was developed in Japan a few months later. Still, the popularity of Gold is not that much in Japan, which may suggest it’s being developed for other markets like China.
As for its specs, the Xperia XZ2 Premium sports a 5.8-inch HDR display with TRILUMINOS and X-Reality technology and comes with a resolution of 4K (2160 x 3840 pixels). Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage with an expandable option with microSD card up to 400 GB.
It contains a Motion Eye dual camera setup on the back of 19 MP and 12 MP configuration, with features like Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, Anti-distortion shutter, Bokeh effect, 8X digital zoom, and 960fps Super slow motion recording. It offers a 13 MP camera on the front. It runs on Android Oreo and is backed by a 3540 mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging and Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. It has a water-resistant IP68-rated body that measures 158 x 80 x 11.9 mm and weighs 236 g.
