Tecno Android 12 Update: Everything You Need to Know

Tecno makes some budget-oriented smartphones. They have recently launched their Tecno Spart 7T smartphone in India. Tecno smartphones run on their own customized skin namely HiOS on top of Android OS. Well, going to the point, Google has recently announced their Android 12 OS in Google I/O 2021 event. The beta builds for pixel smartphones are already out now. Some smartphones from the brand like Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme, and Vivo will get Android 12 Beta to build for their selected smartphones in the coming days too.

Well, Tecno has now shared the list of their eligible devices for the Android 12 update. Sadly, the list contains one handset name. Yet this is good to hear that budget smartphones from Tecno are also promising the Android 12 update.

Tecno has a wide variety of devices such as the Tecno POVA series and the Tecno Spark series. Their devices also sold in good numbers in both offline and online markets. We hope the company will provide an Android 12 update for other popular Android 11 pre-installed Tecno smartphones also.

Tecno Joins Android 12 Beta Program

Well, as of now, the Android 12 beta 1 build is available for the Tecno Camon 17 smartphone. The beta build was released on May 19, 2021, via the Tecno Spot forum. To download and install the Beta 1 build on your smartphone, you need to flash a package using the firmware package tool that utilizes the low-level download mode of the MediaTek chipset. Also, as a Beta build, there might be bugs and major issues in the software and you might encounter some problems. If you want to get back to Android 11 if you were unsatisfied with the experience or face any error, you have to flash the rollback zip using the same method. Also, the ROM is intended for developers and power users only. We strongly don’t suggest any normal user flash the ROM as it might create some problems. but if you still want to install it, you can do it at your own risk.
