Wattpad app keeps crashing on version 9.79: Is it related to iOS 16?
Apple launched its new iPhone 14 series with the new Apple Watch Series 8, second-generation Apple Watch SE, and a new Apple Watch Ultra on September 7. Later, they announced the latest Operating System for their devices, namely, iOS 16 for iPhone and Watch OS 9 for Apple Watches, on September 12.
However, the new OS, regardless of its numerous exceptional features like a newly designed lock screen with more personalization features, new functionality in the iMessage application, widgets applicability on the lock screen, haptics, etc., iOS 16 is causing the users to face massive problems like flickering screen issues, huge battery drainage crises, glitching problems, display granting, green lines on the show, activation issues with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, the recent camera issue of shaking and vibrating, and more.
The update has also led some of the applications not to perform smoothly. Now, the users of version 9.79 of the Wattpad application are facing an issue. The problem is that whenever the users are pushing to the limit to open the app, the app is continuously loading, and the logo of Wattpad appears, later on, crashing the app.

Even after closing the application from the RAM, nothing prevents it from crashing. The issue is consistent.A few days ago, Wattpad Status claimed the issue and said we are working on a newer version for the problem to be resolved soon. And two days ago, they again told the users to be patient while we investigate the issue, and shortly the solution to the same will be provided with the newer version of the application. They are running fast to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
So the solution to the problem is in process and will arrive soon. However, if you are more concerned about the application and facing the crashing issue, you can use the web version. The Wattpad team will quickly provide a new update to the application, hopefully resolving this crashing issue soon.
