Many people don’t know about the Galaxy A90 series. Samsung released a Galaxy A90 5G as a cheap, affordable flagship device. The Galaxy A90 offered specs like the Galaxy FE series of the present time. Samsung didn’t like the idea of a flagship-like device in the A-series and didn’t release an A91 or A92.

The Galaxy A90 5G featured Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We did not and will not see a successor to this device. This device was launched with Android 9.0 Pie and is currently running on the latest Android 12 (One UI 4.1).

Samsung had promised three years of major Android updates for the Galaxy A90 5G, and they delivered it. The Galaxy A90 5G received three significant updates- Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12. The Galaxy A90 5G is currently running on the latest Android 12 update. This could be the third and last major Android update for this device. This device might have to spend the rest of its life on Android 12. Android 13 is very likely to come to Galaxy A90 5G.

The above information is not official as Samsung has not announced the Android 13-based One UI 5 yet. It’s just a prediction based on Samsung’s update policy. The Galaxy A90 5G may get the Android 13 update only if Samsung thinks of being too generous.

Conclusion

Even if Samsung does not provide the Android 13 update, users can enjoy Android 13 with the help of custom ROMs (if available). It may also be noted that Galaxy A90 5G users may still get one year of security updates from Samsung.
